Can Importify help me find a car that’s not listed?

Are all vehicles inspected before purchase?
Yes, we can offer pre-purchase inspections to ensure the vehicle’s condition before finalizing the deal. These inspections start from $150 USD and are independent inspections.
Which companies inspect the vehicles?

If the vehicle is a specialist vehicle like a high end Japanese performance vehicle / European classic or new supercar or USA muscle car, we have specialist contacts who are able to inspect these vehicles in detail with expert knowledge all over New Zealand
How does the import process work?
1) Find a Car – Browse our listings or view what is available on https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors or New Zealand’s local Facebook marketplace and change your location to Auckland, New Zealand.
2) Once you find the vehicle you are after we negotiate & secure purchase on your behalf
3) We then arrange the shipping & logistics locally within New Zealand and internationally to your local port. We have a variety of international freight companies & agents that we use.
4) On the New Zealand end we handle pre-customs cleaning, asbestos testing ( if applicable ), and necessary paperwork. On your end our agent will contact a local agent ( if you don’t already have one ) and will assist in clearing the vehicle at customs and getting the vehicle released and ready to collect from your port or have the vehicle securely delivered to your door.
How long does it take to import a car?
Shipping times vary by country, but the full process typically takes 4-8 weeks, depending on inspections, documentation, and customs clearance.
What countries does Importify ship to?
We support 95% of all international destinations, including Australia, the USA, and select European and Asian countries. Contact us to confirm eligibility.
Do I need to handle customs clearance myself?
No, Importify assists with customs clearance, asbestos testing, pre-cleaning, and compliance to ensure smooth entry into your country.
How much does it cost to import a car?

What payment methods are accepted?

Will the car be road-legal in my country?
Importify takes no responsibility that the car will meet your local compliance standards for your destination. You will need to do your research on your countries local regulations before purchasing a vehicle with us from New Zealand.
What is asbestos testing, and why is it needed?
Many classic cars contain asbestos in brake pads, gaskets, or insulation. Some countries require testing and removal before importation.
Can I cancel my order after purchasing a vehicle?
Once a vehicle has been secured and shipping has begun, cancellations will not be possible.
What if the car arrives damaged?
All vehicles are shipped with insurance coverage. If damage occurs, we assist with claims and resolution.
